The Take

Consensus is 29 picks high on C.J. Stroud. He is gone before the wolves would draft him. This is a pass, not a wait.

The case

The market drafts Stroud at pick 75. The wolves rank him 104. He is a streamer. The replacement line is close enough that the wolves will not spend a real pick to beat it. Let someone else pay the toll. The board is deep enough behind him.
